Ever since we signed the initial contract to purchase our house in February, I’ve been itching to do some household DIYS. But since we’re not actually moving into the house until this summer, I’m kind of limited in what I can do (meaning, I can’t get started yet on this built-in vanity transformation I mocked up 😂).
But I realized that I could at least make the stool I’d use with this built-in vanity. When I first moved back with my parents and set up a small pottery workstation, I purchased a Kyrre Stool from Ikea. I quickly realized that the stool’s height didn’t work for me in the setup, and it just sat around unused for awhile. Then at some point I realized that I could upholster it as an interim DIY while I waiting to move in. 🙂
I looked up an article about upholstering stools, gathered the materials from around my parents’ house (I didn’t purchase anything aside from the stool!), and got to work!
