I decided that I want to explore my Chinese culture more this year. More explanation as to why at some point I’m sure, but a large reason is that my grandpa on my mom’s side was an accomplished calligrapher, and I want to feel more connected to that part of our family history. I’d learned basic calligraphy when I was a kid in Chinese school, but not too much.
